Early on, bungee surfing was practiced in Switzerland. In this documentary you can not only take a look at the beginnings of bungee surfing, but at the same time you can cheer along to see if a new record will be set. The scene of this record attempt takes place in the capital of Switzerland, where bungee surfing was invented. To be exact, on the 45-meter high Kornhaus Bridge that crosses the Aare River.
In this project, Swiss television accompanies Samuel Hurni from Bern. The young heart surgeon, is a passionate bungee surfer and dreams of the ultimate wave ride on the Aare. His goal: to surf 200 meters upstream - that would be a new world record. But for this, a specially made bungee rope has to be designed and this should also work. Will he manage the challenge?
